Version 2 improves the placement of the airlift pump
The cost of building raised Earthan beds has caused me to consider using EPDM or other pond liner materials in an trench dug into the ground. Due to my preference to use air lift pumps I had to find a way to economically create a deep well for the air lift. This video shows my solution.
I have found a 20 lpm pump that is extremely quite. It has a pressure of 84 inches of water, and runs on just 8W. But the noise of gurgling water from the air lift may not be good for your location in which case I would suggest a small impeller pump.
